Famous for her chart-topping dance tunes — and her outlandish fashions — Lady Gaga has dabbled in acting in recent years. The 37-year-old artist, whose birth name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has belted out standards with beloved crooner Tony Bennett, scored a Best Actress Oscar nod for 2018’s A Star Is Born and took home an Academy Award for the movie’s emotional ballad, “Shallow.”
She expanded her acting resume as leading lady in the lavish film production House of Gucci. Here are 10 things you don’t know about the native New Yorker.
1. Lady Gaga is well-inked.
She has more than 20 tattoos — including one of David Bowie as he appeared on the cover of his 1973 album, Aladdin Sane.
2. She made a cameo in 'The Sopranos.'
When she was 15, she had a cameo in The Sopranos episode “The Telltale Moozadell” and was listed in the credits as Girl at Swimming Pool No. 2.
3. She went to school with Nicky Hilton.
She graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart, an all-girls Roman Catholic school in New York City, where hotel heiress Nicky Hilton was her classmate.
4. She appeared in a reality TV show.
In 2005, she was an unwitting contestant on MTV's prank reality show Boiling Points and won a $100 prize.

The infamous meat dress she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards comprised more than 40 pounds of flank steak — and was later chemically preserved and put on display at Ohio’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
