11 Dry January Mocktails for Every Drinker
To some, Dry January might sound like another wellness trend, but the truth is that the sober curious lifestyle has grown exponentially since Dry January’s humble beginnings in the U.K.
These days, there are books, podcasts, events and tons of popular nonalcoholic cocktail recipes for people who don’t ever drink or simply want to take any amount of time off from booze.
As Dry January heads into its most popular year ever, we asked The Dry Challenge author Hilary Sheinbaum for recipes that appeal to different tastes. Whether you’re someone who loves wine, looks for fruit-forward beverages or always opts for something more bitter: there’s a mocktail for all.
Make these 11 drinks in the comfort of your own kitchen, or keep in your back pocket for a bartender to recreate next time you’re out and about.
Zero-Proof Passion Fruit Margarita
“The Zero-Proof Margarita Kit is going to spice up your Dry January,” says Sheinbaum. "With the ability to make so many nonalcoholic margaritas, you’ll be inviting friends over for a mocktail party.”
Ingredients
1 oz Twisted Alchemy Three Citrus Margarita
1 oz Twisted Alchemy Passion Fruit Juice
3 oz Sparkling Water
.5 oz Agave
Garnish: Dried Lime Wheel
Method
Add Passion Fruit Juice, Three Citrus Margarita and Agave into shaker with ice
Shake and strain into glass
Top with sparkling water
Garnish with Dried Lime Wheel.
Oasis Vibe Prickly Pear Punch
Ingredients
1 cup CELSIUS® Sparkling Oasis Vibe
2 Tbsp Prickly Pear Syrup
Garnish: Fresh lime
Method
Fill one glass with ice, about halfway
Add CELSIUS® Sparkling Oasis Vibe to the glass
Add Prickly Pear Syrup
Stir until well combined
Slice one lime into quarters
Add lime slice to mocktail for garnish, either with toothpick, along the rim, or right in the drink
Take a sip and taste the Oasis!
Mio Fresca
Product name featured: Mionetto Alcohol-Removed Sparkling Wine
Ingredients
1 oz Lemon Juice
1 oz Agave Syrup
Fresh Strawberries
Garnish: Strawberry Slice and Lemon Wheel
Method
Muddle strawberries in a cocktail shaker
Fill ¾ with ice
Add lemon juice and agave syrup to a cocktail shaker
Shake vigorously
Strain into a white wine glass over ice
Top with Mionetto Alcohol-Removed Sparkling Wine
Garnish with strawberry slice and lemon wheel
Freixenet Alcohol-Removed French 75
Ingredients
1 oz Gin Alternative
.5 oz Simple Syrup
.5 oz Lemon Juice
Garnish: Lemon Twist Garnish
Method
In a flute glass, add Gin Alternative, Simple Syrup and Lemon Juice, and stir until combined
Top with Freixenet Alcohol-Removed White Sparkling Wine
Garnish with a lemon twist

The Ruby Sipper Fizz
Ingredients
1 oz pomegranate juice
.5 honey syrup (equal parts honey and water mixed together at room temperature)
1 oz apple cider or apple juice
4-5 oz Giesen 0% Sparkling Brut
Garnish: Apple Slice or Pomegranate Seeds
Method
In a champagne flute, combine and stir all ingredients except the Giesen 0% Sparkling Brut.
Once everything else is combined, slowly pour in the bubbly.
Garnish with apple slices, pomegranate seeds, or both!
Americano
Ingredients
1.5 oz The Spirit of Vermouth Rosso
3 oz Soda Water
Method
Add ice to tall glass, pour in the Milano, Vermouth and finally the soda
Gently stir so as not to flatten the soda
Garnish with a slice of orange
FLUÈRE SPRITZ
Ingredients
1.5 oz FLUÈRE Bitter
3 oz Non alcoholic Sparkling Wine
Garnish: Dried or fresh citrus wheel
Method
Build all ingredients in a glass over ice.
Dutch 75
Ingredients
1 oz Damrak Virgin
.25 oz Simple syrup
.25 oz Lemon juice
3 oz Non alcoholic Sparkling Wine
Garnish: lemon zest
Method
Shake all ingredients, except for the wine
Fine strain into a pre-chilled flute
Top up with sparkling wine
Add garnish
Spicy & Stormy
Ingredients
1/2 cup chilled Curious Elixirs No. 2
1/4 cup chilled sparkling water
1 lime, cut in half
Garnish: salt & lime
Method
Place salt on a flat plate, wet the rim of glass, and twist rim onto salt to create a salt rim
Mix 1/2 cup chilled Curious Elixirs No. 2 with 1/4 cup chilled sparkling water
Squeeze 1 lime half into beverage
Cut remaining lime wedge in half, place one quarter on glass as a final garnish
Pineapple Breeze Please
Ingredients
2 oz pineapple juice
.5 oz lime juice
1/2 can OLIPOP Tropical Punch soda (about 5-6 oz)
Method
Add pineapple juice, lime juice and OLIPOP Tropical Punch soda
Mix well
Add ice to the glass
Stir gently to combine the ingredients
Garnish with dehydrated lime or lime wheel
5 Spiced Cranberry Fizz
Ingredients
2 oz cranberry 5 spice syrup
Ice
Top with Wander and Found Cuvee Blanc Sparkling wine
Garnish: Grated nutmeg
Method
Cook simple syrup (1qt yield) 1:1 ratio sugar and water with 15 cranberries and 1 tbsp chinese 5 spice (bring to a simmer, then incorporate the other elements, cover and bring to room temperature before pureeing)
Build in glass over ice
Garnish with grated nutmeg
