Amazon Launches Virtual Shoe Try-On — Shop Now

Online shopping just became a little bit easier with the help of Amazon. The online retailer recently launched its virtual shoe try-on. The interactive mobile experience relies on augmented reality to help with seeing how a shoe looks prior to purchasing online. The use of AR means shoe lovers can see the footwear from every angle. Thousands of brands on Amazon have made this unique technology available such as: New Balance, adidas, Reebok, Puma, Saucony, Lacoste, Asics and Superga.

“Amazon Fashion’s goal is to create innovative experiences that make shopping for fashion online easier and more delightful for customers,” said Muge Erdirik Dogan, president of Amazon Fashion. “We’re excited to introduce Virtual Try-On for Shoes, so customers can virtually try on thousands of styles from brands they know and love at their convenience, wherever they are. We look forward to listening and learning from customer feedback as we continue to enhance the experience and expand to more brands and styles.”

So, how exactly does the shoe shopping AR work? While shopping on Amazon for shoes, customers can simply select the "Virtual Try-On" button underneath the product image. Once selected, you can point the phone camera and the feet and try on the shoes.
