Ashley Tisdale is one busy lady, which is why she has some tips and tricks to combat burnout.
"Traveling is one of them, but what my therapist has taught me is taking steps throughout the day. I could just be walking away from my computer and being outside in nature and just sitting there and breathing. I also like to mediate, and I like to disconnect from my phone time to time because it's so important for your mental health," the 37-year-old, who teamed up with Chase IHG One Rewards Credit Cards, to Launch "The Slowdown," a pop-up experience designed to inspire future travel, exclusively tells Morning Honey. "Yoga has been something I do, too. I start my morning with a little bit of yoga, and I tend to put on YouTube. It makes me present, and it feels really, really good."
The blonde beauty was recently on a flight from Los Angeles to New York for eight hours due to flight issues, but fortunately, her daughter, Jupiter, whom she shares with husband Christopher French, did just fine, meaning the duo may be able to take her overseas soon.
"I feel like it was a test because I've been wanting to go Europe with my husband ever since I married him. I haven't visited the Eiffel Tower because I was like, 'I am going to go here with my husband!' The fact that we haven't gone yet is wild," the actress shares. "After testing Jupiter out on an eight-hour flight, I am like, 'We can do this!'"
The Disney Channel alum and her hubby have also taken the tot to New York three times. "She's been so patient and good. We have a little magic backpack that we put a bunch of toys in that she hasn't seen before," she says of how they keep the baby busy. "My husband is the best at doing that. He goes and finds little things. I'm really blessed she can go anywhere with us."
Since Tisdale enjoys jet-setting, it made perfect sense for her to team up with Chase IHG One Rewards Credit Cards, to Launch "The Slowdown," a pop-up experience in New York City designed to inspire future travel.
"I love the idea of traveling, we have a pop-up here at Grand Central Terminal, which is called 'The Slowdown.' The whole idea is that we have busy lives, so it's important for us to slow down. I'm someone who always talks about mental health and wellness, and travel is my favorite way to slow down and be present with my family and daughter. I love to travel, and I have the Chase IHG One Rewards Credit Card, and I know with every purchase I'm much closer to earning points — and closer to my next vacation!" she explains.
To visit the pop-up, head to Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal (89 E 42nd St, New York, NY 10017) on Tuesday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
