'Bachelor' Star Gabby Windey Posts A Hair Tutorial To Demonstrate How She Does Her Pretty But 'Lazy' Updo — Watch!
From her relatable attitude to her great sense of humor, Bachelor contestant Gabby Windey has stuck out from the very first rose ceremony, which is why she's gained thousands of fans, many of whom have been asking the star for a hair tutorial.
The former cheerleader — who's on Clayton Echard's season — obliged and recently shared a TikTok to show the step-by-step process for one of her signature looks, which involves her twisting her locks up with a clip and leaving out the front two pieces.
"I'm baseline kind of lazy, so I'm sorry," she admitted before she began demonstrating the process. "There's room for improvement."
She starts with her hair half up, half down and uses a 1.5-inch curler by Hot Tools for the loose locks. "Curl away from the face. Half way first, hold for a few seconds, then all the way," she explained. "I normally just [curl] bigger pieces on the bottom and smaller on the top since the top is what really matters."
She then lets her hair down and parts the strands down the middle. Windey noted that her haircut on the show was "much shorter" and had additional layers, so the style she's currently doing is "going to look different."
After curling her whole head, she teases her tresses with a boar bristle brush, laughing at herself when she sees just how much volume she's added.
Next, the ICU nurse pulls pieces from the sides, gathers them together and secures them in the back of her head with a big claw clip. She explained that she likes "to pull out the sides a bit" to give off the effortless vibe, and the front two pieces hang loose.
For the final touch, she adds one bobby pin to each side for extra volume "around the crown," and then violà — she's done!
Though the Bachelor finale hadn't yet aired when the reality star posted the video, her comments section was flooded with viewers vying for her to be the next Bachelorette star.
Windey's stint on the show will come to a close on the two-hour finale, which airs today, Tuesday, March 15, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
