Fans Are So Obsessed With Billie Eilish's Blonde Locks That Her Instagram Post Broke A Record — See Her Hot New Look!
Hair today, gone tomorrow! On March 18, Billie Eilish shocked fans when she ditched her signature black and green strands for a blonde shoulder-length style.
"Pinch me," she captioned the selfie, which showed off the wavy, shaggy cut, which also included new bangs. Fans couldn't get enough of the look — in fact, the post received over 18 million "likes," making it the sixth most-liked Instagram of all time!
A slew of celebs also went crazy for the look. "Oh my god," wrote YouTube star James Charles. "You are so stunning it's unreal," model Bella Hadid commented, while Chloe Bailey chimed in, "I'm obsessed."
Earlier this year, the "Everything I Wanted" crooner said she was going to change her hair to mark the "end of an era" after her documentary, Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry, was released.
According to E!, her stylist Lissa Renn detailed the dye job in a since-deleted video. "The process is real when you're doing it right. 6 weeks to get all the black out of her ends without damaging it, along with her following my strict haircare regime," Renn shared. "We actually loved all the stages of lifting color."
Renn also posted a selfie alongside the superstar. "So proud & honored! Billie has been a client of ours 6+ years now, so fun to watch her grow and evolve as an artist and woman," she captioned the photo. "I am incredibly grateful for her trust in me to create her new style & the beginning of a new era!"
Shortly after the hot debut, the star revealed she actually dyed her hair about "two months" ago — but she had been wearing a wig that mimicked her usual green style to hide it. In a TikTok video set to her and Rosalía's "Lo Vas A Olivdar," Eilish swayed her head before picking up the hairpiece just slightly and laughing.
Some fans assumed she wear wearing a wig at the March 14 Grammys, as she covered her hairline with a bandana. The star also donned a bucket hat when she accepted the trophy for Record of the Year. "This is really embarrassing for me," she admitted in her speech, insisting that Megan Thee Stallion deserved the accolade.
"You had a year that I think is untoppable. You are a queen. I want to cry thinking about how much I love you," she gushed. "You are so beautiful. You are so talented. You deserve everything in the world. I think about you constantly. I root for you always. You deserve it, honestly."
