Celeb Event Planner Mindy Weiss Says 'Creating Memories' Is the Best Part of Her Job: 'I Love Watching the Reactions!'

Mindy Weiss has become the go-to party planners for celebrities, including the Kardashians, Diana Ross, Ellen DeGeneres and more, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

"Creating memories is the best part of the job — and the most stressful. I love watching the reactions when guests walk into the event," the businesswoman, who partnered with STEM™, exclusively tells Morning Honey.

Over the years, Weiss has learned not to fret when things get slightly chaotic.

"The level of anxiety that clients feel sometimes can ruin the planning experience. I always say keep your sense of humor, take your time planning so you don’t have regrets and don’t overspend, and remember, at the end of the event you have created memories, not just for yourselves but your guests as well," she shares.

But Weiss' "proudest" moment so far was when she walked her son down the aisle. "I made sure I was present and not focused on the production of it all! I let go and let my team manage everything. I have my second son’s wedding in March, and I’m so excited!" she says.

Thanks to social media, Weiss hopes she's "inspiring creatives daily."

"I can assure you they inspire me!" she exclaims. "I often receive lovely messages from those who want to enter the party planning world. I’m quite honest with the pro’s and con’s of the industry and advise anyone to follow their dreams."

"I hope to continue as long as I can to spark joy!" she adds.

If it’s too cold, find ways to keep your guests comfortable with heaters, a fireplace, or blankets to cuddle up in," she continues. "When planning your menu make sure you have plenty options for your guests to enjoy from gluten free, vegetarian and otherwise. It’s important to keep your specific guest list in mind when creating a menu."
