Chelsea Lazkani Says She's Most Proud of Her 'Resilience' Following 'Traumatic' Season of 'Selling Sunset': 'The Things I’ve Been Through Would've Broken Most People'
Chelsea Lazkani is a survivor.
After enduring a painful split from her husband, Jeff Lazkani, and never-ending drama with her fellow realtors during Selling Sunset Season 8, the reality star opened up about how she was able to keep her head held high through it all.
"I don't feel like reliving a traumatic moment, as you can imagine," Lazkani explained about choosing not to watch the current installment of the Netflix hit. "My main focus is to blow out the noise."
In the latest batch of episodes, the broker's ultimate frenemy Bre Tiesi had to break the news to her that she saw Lazkani's spouse making out with another woman in public. Despite their differences, the 31-year-old grew closer to her fellow cast member following the shocking revelation.
"Emma [Hernan] was like, ‘Hmm, are you sure this was genuine? You do remember your history with this girl, right?’” Lazkani recalled of her relationship with Tiesi. “I was going into this new season with fresh energy, hoping to build or rekindle relationships. I was in a good space, so I didn't really question anything [at first].”
When asked what she was most proud of herself for after enduring all of the pain, the fashion maven explained, "My ability to live, learn, and grow, and my resilience. A lot of the things I’ve been through would've broken most people, and I’m still here, I’m happy, and I haven't lost my smile. I’m proud of myself every single day, to be honest."
Although Lazkani has continued to find herself in the middle of some sticky situations, she's taken away important lessons from being on the reality series. "I will never live down some of the moments from my first season. I had this notion that the bigger, the better, because that’s what Selling Sunset is. At times, I felt like I could have been a little bit more demure, but I was aggressive and outspoken. But we’re human, so I don’t regret anything," she spilled.
"I’m either going to go out as my complete true self, highs and lows included, or I’m going to bow out,” the businesswoman noted of how she appears on the series. “I’m not going to be a coward like some of the other castmates.”
As far as wanting any of her past cast members to return to the Oppenheim Group, Lazkani candidly said, "None of them. I could do fine not seeing them ever again."
