Christina Applegate Details Horrific Multiple Sclerosis Relapse: 'I Don't Know What's Going On'
Christina Applegate had such a horrific multiple sclerosis relapse that her legs don’t work and she hasn’t showered in three weeks because she can’t stand up in the stall, she announced in her podcast "MeSsy," which she hosts with Sopranos actress Jamie Lynn Sigler, who also suffers from MS.
"My legs have never been this bad, so I don’t know what’s going on, no energy, legs are just done, like, can’t get circulation, I can’t get them to stop hurting," the 52-year-old Married...with Children star revealed. "I need to buy stock in Cottonelle because I haven’t taken a shower in three weeks. I can’t stand in my shower.”
Even worse, she can't even sit in it because “I have such a small bench and my a-- is so huge these days that I can’t sit on it, it’s like I slip right off of it. … So, I’ve been Cottonelle-ing my body."
After beating cancer, the Bad Moms actress revealed the sad news that she was suffering from MS in 2021. Since then, she has been wracked by at least 30 brain lesions, including one behind her right eye that "hurts a lot."
She added that MS is "the worst thing that’s happened to me" and she often has gotten "a seizure-y feeling sometimes in my brain. It sucks. I hate it so much. I’m so mad about it.”
Now, adding insult to injury, she admitted she smelled "so bad” that her 12-year-old daughter, Sadie, is the only person she interacts with in person!
"Thank God I’m always alone so that no one smells me," Applegate added. "Sadie’s always like, ‘Oh Mama, that’s bad.'"
