While shopping for holiday gifts for his family, Craig Kitto saw a shirt that he liked and ended up buying it.
"I’m one of those people that when the shirt arrived, I immediately ripped off the tag and went on with my life. Fast forward a month, I wanted to buy the same shirt just in a different color and had no clue which size I was because I had ripped off the tag where the size information was and I couldn’t find the email receipt in my cluttered inbox," Kitto exclusively tells Morning Honey. "It was at that moment I thought how great it would be if there was an easy way to track your purchases to easily reference everything you have ever bought, but not have to upload a single thing. All automatic."

Craig Kitto started KITME.
He continues, "Once I began digging a bit deeper into the idea, I kept seeing over and over again how friends are constantly sharing their favorite purchases, whether it be clothing, skincare, wellness, home, etc., in a verbal or inefficient text exchange where you have to find URLs. It's a nightmare. And with that, the lightbulb turned on, KITME was going to be this incredibly easy way to see your digital closet, enable socialization of everything, and make it super easy to give products a second life through resale."
From there, Kitto, who is the Co-Founder and CEO of KITME, realized he was onto something.
"Until now, there hasn’t been a platform that enables the everyday consumer the ability to be an influencer, just in their own way. We love to see what our friends are buying, and through KITME, users have the ability to automatically populate every product they have ever bought with a digital receipt; enabling users to easily build, manage, socialize and resell items from their digital closets," he notes.

KITME's mission is to 'be an invaluable resource for consumers along their everyday shopping journey.'
"Our mission is to be an invaluable resource for consumers along their everyday shopping journey. We hope to make it easier than ever for people to now have a complete look into everything they have ever bought, create a digital world where everything can be socialized in seconds, and because of that, now past purchases can be given a second life in a matter of two clicks," he adds.
Since Kitto has a business development background, he feels as though it "provides the strategic lens to identify market opportunities and build crucial partnerships for KITME and scaling startups has taught me the operational agility and problem-solving prowess necessary to navigate rapid growth and inevitable hurdles," he notes.
"My journey has given me a unique outlook and acumen as it relates to building a company," he states, adding that KITME works "through AI-driven technology, KITME fetches images, descriptions, and product specs from users gmail inboxes that enables users to seamlessly build, manage, socialize and resell items in their digital closet."

Craig Kitto wants everyone to be their 'own stylist' with the app.
Ultimately, Kitto wants to inspire others when they look at their wardrobe. "Your past purchases whether its clothing, skincare, or even food products are a glimpse into how you present yourself to others. We have all been asked, 'Where did you get that?' So, why not empower people and give them a platform to show others what those products are in a way that’s easier than ever. You no longer have to be in real life to ask that question. Your digital closet now travels with you 24/7 wherever you are in the world," he says. "We believe our users will have fun curating and showing off their favorite fits, personal style, and everyday products. Everyone on KITME can be their own stylist or fashion expert as well as contribute to the circular economy."

Craig Kitto loves 'problem solving.'
Kitto has always had a "creative and entrepreneurial spirit," which is why running KITME is a new adventure for him.
"I love problem solving and providing something of value to people and being able to do that with an incredible team of people is an amazing and pretty special thing," he says.
Of course, there's ups and downs along the way, but Kitto is embracing the unknown.
"Building a brand or company requires you to dig deeper than most people think is possible. Most people have had their fair share of late work nights or challenging meetings, but when it comes to building your own company, those experiences are amplified tenfold. Beyond the hours, it's about the emotional investment, the constant problem-solving and the relentless pursuit of a vision," he shares. "Building a startup is a constant process of iteration, experimentation and refinement. You have to be willing to embrace uncertainty, learn from your mistakes and pivot when necessary. While the process can be challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding and forces you to grow and evolve alongside your company."

In the next five to 10 years, Kitto hopes to lead an "amazing team at KITME."
"We are building a platform that has staying power and an inherent utility for everyday consumers to use going forward. I’m beyond excited about what lies ahead," he says.
"We are just getting started, so I hope to continue growing our user base and increasing awareness of our unique social sharing capabilities. In addition to making sharing and reselling fun and easy, we hope to bring in more resale partners so the seamless integration expands to the other platforms our users use. There are so many great ways to use KITME, that there is huge potential for collaborations with both brands and creators that we are looking forward to executing to help build their businesses," he continues. "Bringing a new idea to market is always going to be challenging, but I have an awesome team that helps keep me focused every day. I couldn't have brought KITME to life without my Co-Founder and CTO Ertan Bera, who is the best engineer I’ve ever worked with and challenges me to think outside-the-box in every aspect of this journey."
