Eva Longoria, 49, Reveals Her Secret Beauty Tricks in Order to Age 'Well'
Eva Longoria is letting everyone in on her secret to aging glamorously.
The Desperate Housewives actress, 49, opened up about the preventative beauty tricks she's been using as she gears up to turn 50 next year.
"I’m doing everything," Longoria admitted in a recent interview. “Not because I don’t want to age but because I do want to age. I have an Oura ring to track deep sleep; I’m taking magnesium and other supplements."
The Land of Women star also listed off practices such as cold plunges, red light therapy, waking up with the sunrise, weights, bio-hacks, journaling, meditation and grounding work for how she's been taking care of herself.
"For me, age is just a number, but I’m excited,” Longoria added. “I refuse to believe my greatest success is behind me. I just want to age well. I want to be able to climb upstairs, I want to be able to get up and down, I want to play with my kids and so I’m all about bio hacks that will make me last longer.”
The brunette beauty also credited women, including Jane Fonda, 86, Jennifer Lopez, 55, and Gwyneth Paltrow, 52, as "beacons" and "role models" for how to age gracefully.
"There’s a lot of women I look up to who are doing it well," she added.
This isn't the first time Longoria gave insight into how she maintains her stunning good looks. "I roll out of bed and go straight into the gym because if I don't do it in the morning, I won’t get it done. And if I don’t get it done, I’m in a bad mood all day," she candidly explained in a 2022 interview.
"I don’t think I do anything offbeat — I don’t do goat yoga or anything like that. But when I first started doing trampoline workouts, everybody was like, 'What is that?'" the A-lister said. "It’s so good for lymphatic drainage. I burn more calories doing that than running an hour, so it’s really changed my life. Aside from bouncing, I do heavy weight training."
After she works up a sweat, Longoria immediately gives herself time to meditate. "It could be for two minutes or 20 minutes," she noted. "It just depends on the day, but those are the two things that really center and ground me every morning."
The Texas native emphasized that guided meditation helps her the most. "A lot of times, you feel like, 'I can’t do this, I can’t quiet my mind,' but when you have somebody walking you through it, it’s so much easier," she said. "That’s really a gateway into deeper meditation. The more you do it, the better you get at it."
