Megan Roup is all about empowering other women. The star has been in the fitness world for quite some time, and as the CEO and Founder of The Sculpt Society, she hopes her workouts are making an impact on others — no matter what age they are.
"My goal is to shift things. I am so sick of seeing the same stuff happen in fitness, and I want to reframe how people are working out. I want it to be about feeling good and strong in our bodies. I want to show women how we can do that and not kill ourselves by doing hours of exercise in a day. We are all so busy! For me, it's shifting the narrative that we've all heard and seen. It's about being confident in our bodies and celebrating them at every stage we're in," the fitness guru exclusively tells Morning Honey while discussing how she's spreading positivity this holiday season and into the New Year in partnership with Astral Tequila to launch the "Good Energy Movement."
"In my early twenties, I struggled to find a way to move my body that felt good, and I couldn't find a community to connect with. Whether you're in college or about to get married or whether you want to move for different stages of your cycle, prenatal, postnatal, I want to be there for women through all of those stages," the brunette beauty, who shares two daughters: Harlow Monroe and Mercer Nox with husband Morgan Humphrey, adds.
Over the years, Roup has successfully built her company — something she's very proud of. "It feels really surreal. I am just so grateful," she says. "My community is so positive. It's such an amazing place for other women to be a part of, and it's honestly what I really wanted to do. It's what I was craving in my early twenties. To be able to have that and provide that for other women, I feel emotional when I think about it. I feel so freaking lucky I get to wake up and do something that feels like my purpose."
"For my app and workouts to be so well-received is everything to me," she adds. "If it can be that positive place of shifting how women feel about their bodies and movement, those are really big things in people's lives! We've all been through something with our bodies, and if I can in some way impact people in a positive way, then I've done my job."
As for what the future looks like, Roup hopes to continue to expand her community and "be at the forefront of female fitness."
"When people think of digital female fitness, I want them to think of The Sculpt Society — those are two big things we're continuing to lean into and work toward," she declares.
In the meantime, since the former dancer is all about spreading positivity, her partnership with Astral Tequila made perfect sense. "We are both so aligned in our commitment to spread good energy, and I love what Astral Tequila is doing — from their production process to their community support through their Adobe Brick Project. For every bottle of Astral Tequila produced, The Adobe Brick Project is able to create approximately two adobe bricks. It's so amazing to see what they're doing with their community and how they're really harnessing that good energy there," she explains. "So to bring these two forces together, specifically with The Sculpt Society since we're all about creating good energy through movement, was really exciting. I feel like this partnership has so many different layers to it."
Additionally, created in partnership with Roup, the "Good Energy Movement" offers a variety of virtual and in-person experiences to make spreading good energy more accessible. People can join in with "Good Energy Movement" workouts or Astral Tequila get-togethers or purchase the exclusive holiday cocktail kit.
Curated by Roup, the "Good Energy Movement" kit includes: two one-month subscriptions to The Sculpt Society for you, and one to gift to a friend for the holidays, a co-branded limited-edition exercise ball for "Good Energy Movement" workouts on TSS app with your subscription and ingredients for Roup's festive "Mistletoe Margarita."
"It's great when you get one since it's really fun!" she adds of the kit.
