Exclusive: Food Influencer Justin Schuble Shares His Best Advice in Order to Host the Perfect Holiday Party
If you are looking to host or attend a fabulous holiday soirée — Justin Schuble has you covered.
The food influencer, whose handle is @JustinMSchuble, boasts 1.8 million followers on social media, where he shares his delicious recipes and recommendations for good eats. Now, Schuble chats exclusively with Morning Honey about pulling off the perfect dish to bring to a seasonal bash or putting a celebration together yourself.
The blogger says don't be afraid to head to the grocery store if you are attending a party and don't have any skills in the kitchen. "It's totally okay to buy something and bring it," he explains. "Especially when it comes to desserts. Pies are an easy thing to buy. They taste just as good as if they are homemade."
"A fruit platter is a nice thing to bring or even a soup or a cocktail," Schuble notes. "Make sure it's fun if you really don't want to cook. Picking something up from the store is pretty simple and just as good, if not better, and it can sometimes be the best way to go."
However, if you are gearing up to be the hostess with the mostest, there are still ways to make things less stressful. "My whole page is about easy, healthy recipes, including a very simple sweet potato dish with four or five ingredients. It takes less than an hour and you can't mess it up. You don't even need to measure," he reveals. "Throw some olive oil, maple syrup and cinnamon on there and call it a day!"
"I think the holidays are almost easier because it's many of the same flavors and ingredients," Schuble adds. "You don't have to get super creative. Cinnamon, maple syrup, anything sugary and warm with spices and everything, people tend to love it — but try making a roasted vegetable or even a salad. Everyone thinks about all the unhealthy food, but if you whip up something light and refreshing, people are actually going to be very excited about it."
While the food is extremely important, the right drinks and ambiance is also vital. "It's the little touches that people really appreciate. A signature cocktail is great or having cute little name tags for people so they know where they're supposed to sit. That's always really nice so people know where to go," he says.
"A big tablescape is great. The key is lots of layers across surface," the social media star says of setting up. "Tons and tons of candles. That's always going to make everything look better. Use pinecones, fall leaves, and maybe pomegranates and things from the outdoors."
