Gina Levine Levy, an Emmy-nominated news and entertainment television producer turned realtor, recently did the unthinkable and documented her recent divorce through the lens of her iPhone in her new video series, My Digital Divorce Diary: A Year of Unbreaking.

In the videos, Levine Levy shared her thoughts and feelings about the emotional journey — and she didn't hold back.

"From day 1 of my divorce journey, I decided a video diary would be my motivation to stay positive and power through the process. By day 2, I realized just how wrong I was!" the star exclusively tells Morning Honey. "My grief immediately took on a life of its own, and my video diary quickly became my safe space to talk through all the loss. My camera literally became my confidante, along with a close circle of friends who elevated me through the process."

The star went through a 'transformation' post-divorce.

Seven months into her journey, Levine Levy went through a "transcendent moment," which changed everything.

"In fact, My Digital Divorce Diary: A Year of Unbreaking captures the moment that triggered my transformation. I had a complete mindset shift and never looked back. A few months later, I began to watch my story back on video and I was blown away! There is nothing more empowering than watching your own evolution. I realized immediately how it could help so many divorcing women know they are not alone in their trauma and see their silver lining. It’s what people DON’T tell you about divorce …the layers of grief and trauma …that can make the process so lonely and isolating, no matter how much love surrounds you," she shares.

After going through her divorce, the blonde beauty searched for local support groups to help navigate what she was dealing with.

"Many women do much of their suffering in silence. What I found online was life changing — hundreds, even thousands, of women who could’ve told my exact story, supporting each other at different stages of the process. Posting for support on these platforms was incredibly cathartic and helped shape my perspective. As I watched my story back, I could see how that support at times translated into a more positive outlook. Ultimately, it was my paradigm shift that came during month seven that allowed me to move forward and start manifesting the good back into my life. And talking, in general, whether to my camera, close friends, family members or mental health professionals (or friends who are mental health professionals) is always the most cathartic form of therapy for me!" she says.

She adds, "The private details of my divorce are not something I share because everyone’s journey is personal and unique. What is universal, however, is the grief. When I watched back my own transition from a place of complete emptiness to ultimate empowerment, I felt like a warrior. I learned more about myself in my first year of divorce than in my first 51 years of life! Grief is not only nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about, and it is relatable across the board. My docuseries, My Digital Divorce Diary: A Year of Unbreaking, resonates with single, married, separated and divorced women alike based on their own experiences with grief and trauma."

Ultimately, Levine Levy wants to "create a vital and viable resource chain for women entering the divorce space" and to "encourage divorcing women to share their own voices forward through digital divorce diaries of their own."

"I am walking, talking proof that there is nothing more empowering than watching your own evolution! If there’s anything to motivate you to continue the journey forward, it is seeing how far you’ve come. When I was in that incredibly sad space, I was looking for hope to hold onto. Hearing other women’s success stories on social media platforms was motivating. Seeing other women’s success stories, and sharing grief together, would have been life changing!" she says.

Gina Levine Levy 'learned the power of my own strength and resilence.'

"I’ve learned the power of my own strength and resilience. This year tested me in ways I never thought possible…mentally, emotionally, physically … and I emerged a warrior! I’ve also learned to ask for help, which is often a challenge. Being surrounded by a strong circle is incredibly empowering, and mine helped elevate me through the process," she continues, adding that the best advice she can give to others going through a divorce is to "talk" things out and keep a video diary, in addition to "falling in love with yourself."

"There are parts of you that have been dormant for years by default. Awaken passions, hobbies, interests, and feelings that you forgot existed! Nurture your mind and body, one moment, one step, one day at a time. Exercise, reading, relaxation techniques, podcasts, etc. have all nourished me on so many levels," she says. "Don’t rush the healing process. Allow yourself time to do all of the above. There is a world of beauty to discover when you’re ready."

After being with a partner for 23 years, Levine Levy had to "rediscover" herself. "That reality, along with the separation of my family, were the two most difficult things for me. I’ve since discovered the beauty in my new identity and my new family unit. The change has fostered incredible growth, renewed strength in relationships and bigger and better goals," she says.

Though it was a tough process, there were so many "unexpected positives" that emerged.

"I’ve experienced the beauty that can come with change, including second chances on many levels and all the wonderful potential that comes along with that. Were it not for my divorce, I never would have experienced my own survival story, recognized my own strength and remembered my endless potential. It woke me up in many areas of my life and reinvigorated me!" she says.

Levine Levy knows she can help women "not only survive, but thrive," which is why she plans to share more advice going forward.

"As with many changes and traumas, the fear is in the unknown. Many divorcing women do much of their grieving in silence, behind closed doors, as the many layers of pain can be palpable. No matter how strong your circle is, it can still often feel lonely and isolating. I hope My Digital Divorce Diary: A Year of Unbreaking not only offers a beacon of hope from feeling broken and empty to ultimately empowered, but also lets divorcing women know they are not alone in their journeys. The more we share, the more we can be there for each other. And the more open we are, the more that women who are new to this space will see their silver lining. This sisterhood of women is a powerful one and we will walk alone together. I hope women in this space collectively take out their phones and start recording, sharing and offering continued support. There is endless beauty in change. It is much easier to see once the clouds clear," she explains.

"My Digital Divorce Diary: A Year of Unbreaking is my personal healing journey. There is nothing more empowering than watching your own evolution. If my climb over the mountain can help even one person navigate their own path to the other side, then it’s done its job. When you speak your truth, there is no right or wrong. There is also beauty in truth and strength in honesty! People who watch my story often comment on the beauty in my strength. I’ve found that when people watch my story, they don’t see weakness in my tears, they see the strength in my ability to talk through them. The outcome speaks for itself," Levine Levy, who worked in the news/entertainment industry for 14 years before she had her three sons, adds.

Now, a realtor, Levine Levy is living her best life.

"My future has already begun! I am in the driver’s seat of my own life, and it feels amazing! My goals and potential are limitless, and I am focusing on passions and projects that have been dormant within me for years. Having a second chance at 51 to rewrite my own story is a beautiful thing and I don’t take it for granted," she notes. "Not only is my real estate business growing exponentially, but I plan to positively impact thousands of divorcing women across the country with my passion project, My Digital Divorce Diary: A Year of Unbreaking. My passion project echos my personal story which is extremely motivating and the driving force behind its success."

She concludes: "I emerged this path with a strength I didn’t know I had. I was tested in ways that I never thought possible. It is an ongoing journey, but when you find and unleash your inner warrior, and see the endless possibilities of your life, there is nothing more rewarding! I’ve never been one to wait for life to happen, I plan to continue to take it all by storm!"
