'With Age Comes Wisdom': Gisele Bündchen Reveals She's Absolutely Loving Life In Her 40s
Last July, Gisele Bündchen turned 40. And though some women wouldn't want to celebrate turning a year older, the model reveals that as time passes, she's only become happier in life.
"With age comes wisdom, don't you feel that? I feel better at 40 than I felt at 30, I can tell you that much," the star confessed during a Dior Skincare Digital Talk. "I think the 40s are going to be awesome."
Bündchen admitted that her 20s "were a little challenging," and during her 30s, she "was getting a grip on stuff."
"Now the 40s, I'm like, 'Let's go!'" she exclaimed.
Of course, the former Victoria Secret model's enthusiasm may stem from the fact that she's always taken excellent care of her mind and body.
To start, she makes time to meditate every day.
"It’s a different awareness and new level of peace. Once you learn how to do it, it’s yours forever — you can always access that," she told Vogue. "All you need is 20 minutes. Even with a schedule like mine, I can find 20 minutes."
The Brazil native also sticks to a clean diet, as she believes that a good skincare routine can only do so much.
"You can go and buy all the products you want, but if you are not nourishing your body by eating nutritious food, if you are not exercising and oxygenating your blood and doing things that bring you joy, you are not going to feel good, and if you don’t feel good you are not going to look good," she noted. "Because I have never seen someone who doesn’t feel good looking good, have you?"
That being said, Bündchen acknowledges that it's impossible to prevent every sign of aging.
"I feel like the eyes are definitely the most sensitive part of the face," the memoir author shared. "As I'm maturing, I will say [it] is where I definitely notice that is where I want to have the most care."
But there's another reason that the star pays special attention to her eye area.
"I feel like the eyes are the window of the soul. I'm more aware of it than ever," she revealed. "I go the extra mile, the extra point of actually looking someone in the eyes. Just trying to send a positive vibration, a positive energy to the eyes because the eyes are very powerful.”
