Hilary Duff Cuddles With New Baby Girl Townes as She Celebrates 1 Month Since Her Birth: Photos
Hilary Duff's newest addition is 1-month-old!
The former Disney Channel actress, 36, took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 3, to share a glimpse of her youngest daughter, Townes Meadow, whom she shares with her husband, Matthew Koma, after her birth in May.
"A month with this beautiful plum," Duff penned alongside a sweet photo of herself snuggled up to her newborn while she planted a kiss on her cheek.
The "So Yesterday" singer, who also shares daughters Mae James, 3, and Banks Violet, 5, with the musician, 37, and her son, Luca Cruz, 12, with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie, has been candid about the highs and lows of motherhood.
"It was a little isolating in the beginning because I didn’t have any friends that had babies yet,” Duff explained during a 2019 appearance on the "Motherly” podcast of first becoming a mom at age 24.
"But I had been working for such a long time that it felt like a natural step for me, and I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I always knew that was going to be my number one priority in life," she continued. "So, I felt ready on some fronts and a little scared on others, but really I only got scared once I was pregnant, thinking, like, ‘Oh, this is actually really happening. What if this? What if that?'”
"[Once] you do find yourself again, you have the biggest thing under your belt that nobody can take away from you and you’re so powerful and you’re so confident. … When it was happening, maybe I was a little sad about it and I didn’t feel like I had anyone to go through the experience with, but then I came out on the other side. I’m like, ‘I’m freaking super woman and I can do anything and I have confidence for days.’ There’s so much good that comes along with it," the Cinderella Story actress added.
The Lizzie McGuire alum has also been candid about juggling her career while taking care of her kiddos. In an August 2022 Instagram update, Duff lamented about not being able to be with daughter Mae while she battled hand, foot and mouth disease as she was busy on set.
"It looks awful and I haven’t been able to be with her all day because I am at work,” she penned in the honest post. "I love my job so much but this is just a little shout out to working parents who have to leave their kids at times that don’t feel natural and goes against everything in your body to not be with them in times like that. I am sitting here feeling sorry for myself basically."
