Exclusive: From Reality Television to Broadway — How 'RHOSLC' Star Bronwyn Newport Is Taking the World by Storm
Bronwyn Newport can do it all!
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has made a splash during Season 5 of the beloved Bravo series. However, Newport has many different irons in the fire when it comes to her career.
The multi-talented reality star chats exclusively with Morning Honey about her deep love of fashion, her life as a Broadway producer and her new collection of cozy pajamas with Bedhead PJs.
"I grew up in an amazing era of movies and television, like Blossom, Family Matters, Beetlejuice and Death Becomes Her," Newport spills of her biggest style inspirations. "I have siblings way older than me, so I was watching movies at 5 or 6 years old that maybe I shouldn't have been watching. I remember seeing Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and wanting to be them. The plaid suits, anything that was very Clueless. I felt like with clothes, you could be somebody totally different every day, and if it didn't work for you, just take them off."
The businesswoman has stayed extremely loyal to her own atheistic, no matter what the trends are. "It's always been my thing that fashion needs to be really fun! It's expressive and creative and not serious at all. A big point of discussion on the show is if I think I look cool or not. I don't. I know I don't. I don't want to look cool!"
What Bravo fans may not know is that Newport produced the most recent Broadway revival of Cabaret and is currently in the process of bringing the Kristin Chenoweth musical The Queen of Versailles to the Great White in 2025.
"We've done a couple of shows. We've been part of Suffs and Cabaret. We have the first show coming out that's all-trans individuals telling the story of a wonderful trans woman and her journey," she reveals. "It's going to be amazing!"
While working on the Wicked star's latest production, she had to keep her Bravo ties under wraps. "Kristin is a big fan of Salt Lake City Housewives," Newport notes. "I couldn't tell her that I was on the show when we first met. We had been talking about Versailles for so long, and then when they announced me [as one of the cast members of RHOSLC], she was, like, 'You sly devil! You have been friends with Meredith [Marks] and Lisa [Barlow] the whole time! You didn't tell me?!'"
As if the multihyphenate doesn't already have her hands full, she's collaborated on a pajama collection with Bedhead PJs, a brand she's been a fan of for a very long time.
"I've been buying Bedhead pajamas since my daughter was little. I just always wanted to match with her, so any holidays or special occasions, I'd buy them," Newport says. "Everybody goes home and wants to be cozy and relax. I'm hoping people watch RHOSLC in their Bedhead sets!"
