How to Stop Hair Loss
We lose hair, every single day. In fact, experts say it’s normal to shed between 50 and 100 hairs a day. And that’s not a lot, considering the average person has about 100,000 of them on their head. Shedding more than this amount, having a widening part or having patches of no hair are all signs of hair loss.
There are many reasons for hair loss: stress, aging, hormone changes, after a surgery or high fever or a fungal infection in your hair follicle. But you can protect your tresses without robbing your wallet for fancy chemical treatments simply by using some products you’ve probably already got in your kitchen pantry. Try one of these inexpensive remedies today for more luscious hair tomorrow.
Herbs
There are different herbs that have been used since ancient times to keep hair thick and healthy. One of these is horsetail rich in silica, which penetrates your hair follicle where cells grow and build the follicle, which makes your locks thicker and helps lessen loss.
Also try Red Clover. Hair loss is sometimes due to inflammation and hormones, including a form of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone. One study showed that red clover blocks an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase that converts testosterone and hydro testosterone, and helps lower inflammation, which can help hair grow.
Another inexpensive option is Stinging Nettle. One study showed that taking this herbal extract increased dermal papilla cell growth. These cells are part of the hair follicle and regulate hair growth. Another study found that stinging nettle is rich in a plant chemical called beta-sitosterol, which raises growth factors that stimulate hair growth.
