'It Is So Cute': Jessica Biel Gushes Over Sons Silas & Phineas, Who 'Just Laugh At Each Other All Day Long'
Being a mom to two boys has been "a wild, crazy, fun ride" for Jessica Biel.
While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the actress gave some rare insight into her and husband Justin Timberlake's life as parents to sons Silas, 6 and Phineas, 10 months.
"A very wise friend of mine said, 'One is a lot, and two is a thousand.' And I said 'Oh my god, you're right,'" she told Ellen DeGeneres. "That's exactly how it feels. You're just man-on-man defense, one person's over here and the other person's over here."
Trying to sleep train their youngest one has only added to the daily stress and chaos.
"He was doing so great, and then all of his teeth started to come in and now nobody is sleeping again," the Sinner star shared. "But he's so cute and I think that's why they're so cute is because you just look at them and you're like, 'I'm so tired, but you're so cute and I love you and I'm gonna be OK with this somehow.'"
Still, she admitted "it's so hard" to hear Phineas cry, even when it's just for a few minutes — but it's something she's now learned to live with.
"We never really followed through with Silas in a big way with the sleep training. I think it was because he was a first child, we were nervous, we couldn't bear the thought," she recalled. "Now it's like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're going to be fine. You're going to make it. You'll be OK.'"
Luckily, when the baby is awake, he doesn't need much attention, as he can spend hours on end just watching his big brother do his thing.
"It is so cute to see these two together. They both think the other one is hilarious," Biel gushed. "Silas, he is the performer, he wants to make the jokes and he wants all the attention on him, so Phin only has eyes for him. Everything that Silas does is hilarious and then anything that Phin does is hilarious. So, they just laugh at each other all day long."
