Jessica Simpson Reveals Her & Kim Kardashian's Daughters Are 'Best Friends,' Calls North West An 'Amazing Kid'
Friends in high places! Jessica Simpson revealed to Us Weekly that her daughter Maxwell, 9, is "best friends" with Kim Kardashian's first-born, 8-year-old North. The moms live in the same neighborhood, so the broods are able to easily get together for "fun" times, added the singer.
Simpson, who also shares Ace, 8, and Birdie, 3, with husband Eric Johnson, insisted that North, "is amazing. She is a great kid, and she will be a part of a change in this world."
Johnson has also been able to get to know North since he acts as coach for her and Maxwell's basketball team. And since the mom-of-three has firsthand experience with filming reality shows — she and ex-husband Nick Lachey starred in MTV's Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica in 2003 — she commended the Skims founder for never shying away from the cameras.
"I’m like, 'I don’t know how y’all could do this all the time,'" said the Dukes of Hazzard star. "I could only last three seasons [on Newlyweds], but they’re so open and they’ve always remained the same. That’s really hard to do, and they’re powerhouses."
Kardashian, who is a mom to three other tots — Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2, whom she shares with ex Kanye West — is giving fans even more insight into her family life via The Kardashians, which premiered on Hulu on April 14. In fact, all of her kids made an appearance in the series premiere.
In the new show, the mom-of-four will also give details on her businesses, law school studies and how she's moving on amid her dramatic split from the rapper. In a recent interview, the star explained that she's trying to focus on her own happiness, something she hasn't done in the past.
"My 40s are about being Team Me. I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy," she shared. "I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram. Khloé came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, ‘Post and ghost.’ "
