Exclusive: 'Sweet Magnolias' Star JoAnna Garcia Swisher Says Being A Mom-Of-Two Is 'The Greatest Job Of My Life'

JoAnna Garcia Swisher feels like she's in a sweet spot in her life: Sweet Magnolias is a bonafide hit on Netflix, she's married to Nick Swisher and she gets to enjoy time with their two girls, Emerson, 9, and Sailor, 6.

"It's honestly the greatest job of my life and the greatest honor my life, really. I love watching these girls blossom and experience new things, and I get to see them become who they are," the 43-year-old, who partnered with Mrs. T's Pierogies to talk about simplifying self-care for All-Star Moms everywhere by sharing design tips and cash prizes to create a "Recharging Room" in their home and easy-to-make pierogy recipes for delicious family dinners, exclusively tells Morning Honey. "My husband and I both feel like we want to inspire our kids to find what they love and make a living out of it, no matter what that looks like."

Since the red-headed beauty and the baseball player, 42, were able to follow their dreams, she hopes their tots find something they are equally passionate about. "Right now we're in the phase of trying new things all the time. Because of our work, we get to travel a lot and getting to show them the world. We're trying to savor this family time because it does go by so fast."

Since Nick is athletic and the Reba alum is into the arts, she sees both traits in her girls. "My older daughter is an avid equestrian," she reveals. "Ever since she was two or three years old, she would want to be on a horse, and she's been really dedicated to that. That's a hobby you have to love and it takes a time and dedication. My youngest is showing signs of wanting to be a performer. She's started to watch more things I've done and asks really unique questions. So, I don't know if there is something there. I have her in a local acting class on Saturday mornings, and she seems to really like it — and she loves to dance. I try not to label things; I just let it unfold. But I wouldn't be surprised if I was taking my daughter to auditions at some point in her life."

In fact, her daughters already has some star power, as she got to appear in the background of Sweet Magnolias recently. "It was really fun to have them there," she recalls. "They're total fixtures on set. They visit me and they love craft services a lot. They are spoiled rotten when they come, so it's a good experience."

As for how the mom-of-two makes sure to carve out time in her hectic day, she believes self-love is vital. "Any mom hacks that you have to save a bit of time and not feel guilty is essential. We're always encouraging each other to do that."

"I've been trying to get outdoors a bit more or I read a book," she says of her downtime. "I'm an avid reader, and I feel like having the space where you can do that inspires me. I love taking baths, and I have a giant dog who is very excited about this initiative in my life.
