Kaley Cuoco Explains Why She's Not Letting Mom-Shamers Affect Her Parenting Style: 'Every Kid Is So Different'
Kaley Cuoco will not let online shamers get to her.
After welcoming her 18-month-old daughter, Matilda, with her fiancé, Tom Pelphrey, The Flight Attendant actress, 38, got candid about why she doesn't listen to any criticisms of her parenting.
"Every mom I can guarantee is doing the best they can," Cuoco explained in a recent interview. "Look, everyone's got something to say about everything. There's no change before I had kids, to having kids, to where I am in my life. It's just this business, it's this life. It is what it is. But yeah, we got to stop at the shaming."
The blonde beauty emphasized that there isn't a certain way of raising children. "I just feel like every kid is so different," she noted. "What's good for your kid might not be good for mine."
When it comes to her little one cutting back on screen time, Cuoco isn't exactly strict. "She just watched like, seven movies on HBO," the proud mom jokingly added. "Yeah, she's watching Game of Thrones when I get home."
The Big Bang Theory alum also added that she fully expects her offspring, whom she shares with the Ozark actor, 42, to follow in their footsteps. "I don't know how this child will not be an actress. I mean, it's an acting family," Cuoco added. "We've been through all the ups and downs and that girl is a performer. There's no way she's not going to perform."
The funny lady has learned a lot since welcoming her daughter, however, one lesson has stood out the most. “That you’re not important,” Cuoco explained in an interview in May. “Whatever a 1-year-old wants, they want. Don’t take it personally when they want Dada over Mama all day long. Doesn’t mean anything. Don’t take things personally. I learned that very quickly.”
The A-lister also couldn't help but gush over how thrilled she is to have started a family with Pelphrey, whom she began dating in 2022. "We are so happy to be working. We’re happy to be in love. Our baby is, like, the best thing ever. Life is really good. We feel very blessed," she spilled.
In March 2024, Cuoco paid tribute to her kiddo on her first birthday, writing in a post shared to Instagram, “Dada and I love you more than we could possibly ever explain. I cannot wait to see who you become, but for now, please stay my precious 1 year old forever. 🩷 @tommypelphrey thank you for being the best daddy (besides my own) the world has ever seen. She’s perfect.🩷🎈Happy birthday, angel girl! 🎂”
