Karrueche Tran, Venus Williams, Storm Reid & More Go All Out For The Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon: Photos
On March 24, a bevy of beauties showed up to attend the 15th Annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon. The magazine describes the event "as a spotlight for achievements on screen and a celebration of female voices expanding and transforming the art of storytelling."
This year's honorees — Chanté Adams, Quinta Brunson, Aunjanue Ellis and Nia Long — were recognized for contributing "to the creation of a vast and dynamic Black cinematic universe." Besides a trophy, they each graced their own cover of the mag.

Venus Williams
The tennis ace put her best foot forward in a unique magenta frock and transparent heels.
Storm Reid
The Euphoria star stepped out in a pale yellow dress that had a cutout at the waist and feathers on the cuffs, in addition to a pair of white heels. She revealed her eye makeup was done with Maybelline products and captioned photos from the outing, "I'm the sun baby, i shine 🌞🍯."
On the carpet, she spoke about the importance of representing black women around the globe.
"I feel like erasure is still a big thing in the world and especially in Hollywood with women and furthermore with Black women," she shared with Entertainment Tonight. "So to have an event that represents us, celebrates us and I get to be on a red carpet and sit in a room full of Black women who have paved a way for me and have made it possible for me to stand right here, that's incredible, so I'm just so glad and so thankful to be here."
Lexi Underwood
The Little Fires Everywhere actress wore a flowy olive green top and matching pants, to which her stylist Stephanie Andrea declared, "I think we killed this look."
Underwood wrote of attending the event, "Always grateful to be in the room."
Karrueche Tran
The actress wore a black and white striped dress and white pointed-toe heels. On Instagram, she showed that she caught up with Claws costar Niecy Nash once inside the bash.
