Keanu Reeves, 60, 'Wants' to Act in Another 'John Wick' Movie But Isn't Sure If His 'Knees Can Do It'
Keanu Reeves thinks he's too old to do another John Wick movie.
When the Hollywood hunk, 60, was asked if he would return for another installment of the action franchise, he admitted his aging body parts may be holding him back.
During a December 2024 appearance on CBS Mornings, Reeves said, "You can never say never — but my knees right now are saying, ‘You can’t do another John Wick.'"
"So my heart [wants to], I don’t know if my knees can do it," The Matrix actor — who's starred in four John Wick movies — explained of getting his joints to endure the stunt work.
The intense action sequences in the multi-installment project have taken a toll on Reeves. "Every day is a gift," he said during a recent Q&A event in Los Angeles, Calif., to honor the franchise. "I had so many wonderful teachers and guidance and worked with so many talented actors, actresses, and stunt people in the sense of it's such a dance and collaboration and cooperation. There's a couple of times where you throw up or puke or whatever, but that's what makes it good."
Earlier this year, the Constantine actor admitted he's contemplated how much time he has left on this planet. "I’m 59, so I’m thinking about death all the time," he said in the July 2024 interview. "I’m young old."
"Hopefully, it’s not crippling, but hopefully, it’s sensitized [us] to an appreciation of the breath we have and the relationships that we have the potential to have,” he continued of what his last moments could be like. "I think it was influenced by some of the action films that I had done."
Despite how intense the work is on his body, Reeves still loves the genre. "I always wanted to play Wolverine,” the actor explained in a 2020 appearance on Radio Andy. However, he claimed it was "too late" and he was "all good with it now."
Although there may have a few regrets, Reeves is perfectly happy in his life, especially in his romance with Alexandra Grant. When questioned about his "last moment of bliss," he said in a March 2023 interview, "A couple of days ago with my honey."
"We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great," he gushed over his girlfriend, whom he went public with in 2019 after ten years of friendship. "It was just really nice to be together.”
