Kim Kardashian Spills on Her $65 Skkn by Kim Resurfacing Facial Mask — Which Was Inspired by Her Favorite Facial
Kim Kardashian's goal in creating Skkn by Kim was to bring effective, high-quality beauty products to consumers at an attainable price point. And her approach was no different when it came to her Skkn By Kim Resurfacing Facial Mask. Using tips that her professional team has applied to her own skincare routine, Kardashian has released a $65 new facial mask that leaves her skin "glowing."
And evidently, the product was inspired by her favorite facial mask.
In a recent interview with Byrdie, the beauty/makeup mogul opened up about Skkn by Kim Resurfacing Facial Mask.
Kardashian explained that she used to complain about the skin texture on her forehead — so her team found an exfoliant that got the job done while still being gentle on her skin.
"The one real reason I wanted to make a pumpkin enzyme mask is that my facialist and esthetician used to always use it on me to help resurface my skin," Kardashian told the publication. "I love to find the products that I can really bring in from the knowledge and secrets and tricks that I've learned from my professional team and then figure out how to bring that to the consumer."
The glycolic acid, fermented pumpkin enzyme and lactic acid work to remove dead skin cells on the face, and glycerin helps lock in moisture.
"It really helps over time with the appearance of fine lines and reduces the look of the pores on your skin," Kardashian told Byrdie. "That was really important to me, especially with the texture issues that I was having on my forehead."
The Skkn by Kim Resurfacing Facial Mask promises to leave skin "feeling refreshed and looking radiant after each use," per the product description.
"You just feel like your skin is a bit brighter, more glowing," Kardashian told Byrdie. "It literally glides on your skin and feels really amazing— kind of like a jelly."
If you want to get the full experience, there's also the recommended Treatment Brush, which features vegan fibers, that Kardashian says she's "obsessed with."
She explained: "It's really flexible and moves with you and glides on to like every curve in your face."
The mask will set you back $65, while the brush costs an additional $30. So for 100 bucks, you can enjoy a fancy spa night in — and with a product inspired by Kim K's favorite facial mask, to boot!
