Lily Collins Reveals Her Favorite 'Emily in Paris' Outfit She's Ever Worn
Lily Collins is doing the impossible — picking out her favorite outfit she's ever worn on Emily in Paris!
Since the Netflix series has spent the past four seasons highlighting some of the chicest clothing from the top designers, it would be hard for anyone to choose just one look. However, the 35-year-old knew the ensemble that she loved the most.
"The black-and-white ball gown by Harris Reed was my most epic favorite look," she explained of the dress she wore during an episode of the current installment of the series.
The masquerade outfit was a take on Babe Paley’s daughter Amanda's look at Truman Capote’s 1966 Black and White Ball with a dash of Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady with the oversized black hat. "This show really allows us to pay tribute to wonderful icons throughout the years, and Audrey specifically this season," the brunette beauty spilled. "I grew up loving her films, her work with Unicef and her overall being, so it’s nice to have those moments."
"I wear a collared shirt and a vintage Alaïa skirt with flats, and I felt very ‘Italian vacation mode Emily,'" Collins added of another outfit she rocked during Season 4.
When asked what designer she would like to see worked into Emily's wardrobe in the future, Collins had one famous name in mind. "I would love to wear a little Victoria Beckham. I think that would be fun," the Love, Rosie actress shared. “I feel like it’s very chic. Emily is embracing black more, and that tailored aesthetic, and I feel like that would be lovely."
Costume designer Marylin Fitoussi has continued to raise the bar when it comes to styling the characters on the beloved series. "It’s always challenging to reinvent,” the fashion expert said. "I’m looking at many, many shows and meeting a lot of young designers.”
As Morning Honey previously reported, Collins has expressed how much fun it is to try on different clothing, makeup and hair while working on various projects and attending to big events. "I definitely see characters as a way to make myself a chameleon of sorts, but also I use photoshoots, Met Balls or big fashion and makeup and hair opportunities as moments to become something different, or at least have a different side of my personality come out," she admitted in a 2022 interview. "And I have no problem being unrecognizable. That's what I want."
Luckily for the famous offspring, Emily wasn't a vast departure from her own personal style. "Her makeup, her hair, her style, they're all extensions of her personality," she noted. "And the more acclimated she becomes to Paris, the more she starts to draw from different people that she's seeing, whether it's in her workplace or French icons."
