Lindsay Lohan Gushes Over Having 'Such a Blast' With Jamie Lee Curtis on 'Freaky Friday' Sequel: 'We're Trouble When We Work Together'
Nobody is more thrilled about the Freaky Friday sequel than Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.
With the highly anticipated second installment of the 2003 film set to hit theaters in August 2025, the 38-year-old raved over reuniting with her on-screen mom, 66.
"We're trouble when we work together. We just talk all the time. Constantly talking and yapping," Lohan, who plays Anna Coleman, gushed over the Freakier Friday set, emphasizing how it was "such a blast."
"There’s music in the car and she’s playing Chappell Roan. They’re like, ‘We’re trying to shoot here!'" the Mean Girls alum explained of Curtis, who portrays her mother, Tess Coleman.
Lohan also teased the return of Chad Michael Murray, who plays her love interest Jake. "It’s exciting. Chad comes into the movie full force, as Jake does, in Freakier Friday on the motorcycle," she revealed.
"It’s just a really fun movie. I feel like people are going to laugh a lot. Along with a lot of heart, there’s other stories in it to tell. I’m really excited to share it with everyone," The Parent Trap star spilled.
The Knives Out actress previously let it slip about the One Tree Hill alum, 43, making his grand return in the film. "All of a sudden, the Chad Michael Murray character comes into the story, and I’m telling you, the entire room changed. Every woman in the room was leaning forward," Curtis revealed in a recent interview.
"The laughter, the applause that he got! After the table read, I walked up to the director and producers. I was like, ‘We need to stretch that taffy. He is gold. His character is just so fabulous.’ Jake is back, in a big, big way," the Halloween star said.
The bond between Lohan and Curtis strengthened during this project as the former child star leaned on the Everything Everywhere All at Once actress after becoming a mother to her son, whom she shares with husband Bader Shammas.
"Lindsay's a mommy. Little Luai just had his first birthday a week ago. It changes you as a human, being a parent," Curtis said of Lohan, who welcomed the tot in 2023. "She’s very conservative, so I was like, ‘Relax. Relax.’ Luai’s just starting to walk. She’s at that point where toddlers hold onto things, then they wobble, then they go down. She’s at work, and she’s watching on her phone. She’s watching videos on the livestream with the baby in between scenes. She’s watching her child start toddling, and it’s just very sweet."
