Maria Menounos Re-Wears 5-Year-Old Dress to a Friend's Wedding: 'My Closet of Staples Saves Me'
Maria Menounos wants everyone to know it's OK to repeat looks.
The television correspondent, 46, took to Instagram on Monday, July 8, to show off her signature Alice and Olivia shift dress from 2009, which she re-styled for a recent event.
"This dress is 15 years old!!! Ha! The last time I wore this dress was for an @aliceandolivia event in 2009. Yes, it’s okay to re-wear outfits, and staples like this dress are so great to keep in your closet to re-wear many times!!" she wrote alongside photos of herself in the burnt red shift frock.
"Wore it to my friend's wedding this past weekend and it was perfect because it was HOT and I was cool as a 🥒 top it off with some good glam-thnx @makeupbyliz and @justinemarjan and boom wedding wknd made easy! Being a new mom it’s hard to do it all so my closet of staples saves me every time. ❤️," Menounos concluded the post.
"Alice and Olivia never gets old! Classic!" one fan penned below the update.
"I tell my daughter, 'shop in your closet'… and she always finds something. We refurbish. haha ❤️," a second person added.
"I have the yellow blouse version of this dress still hanging in my closet and it still looks cute! 'If it ain’t broke. Don’t fix it!'👗" a third chimed in.
The Extra host welcomed her daughter, Athena, in June 2023 via surrogate with her husband, Keven Undergaro. "I am so in love. I love her so much, and life is so different — but in the best way. My time is really, really important now in a different way," Menounos exclusively told Morning Honey last year.
"Before it was challenging because I had so many things I wanted to do, but now I want to spend as much time with her. Now I have to figure out how to say no to things that aren't as important — and to know I've spend the first 45 years of my life saying yes to everyone and being there and supporting them. Now I have a different priority. It's a little tricky sometimes because you want to be there for everybody, but my number one priority is her and making sure I stay healthy for her. There's not a lot of time left for anyone else!" the brunette beauty noted.
"I spent 10 years trying to have a baby, and I am not going to lie, throughout those years, I was like, 'Is this supposed to happen? Is this not supposed to happen?' I was trusting God and saying, 'You got a plan, and I don't know what it is, but I am going to go with it,'" she added.
