Eat, Drink & Be Merry! Mariah Carey & McDonald's Are Offering 12 Days Of Free Food Through 'The Mariah Menu'
If all you want for Christmas is some free grub, you're in luck: Mariah Carey and McDonald's have announced the launch of the Mariah Menu!
For 12 days straight, starting on December 13, customers who access the special menu can get a different free item each day with a $1 minimum purchase when ordering though the McDonald's app.
"Some of my favorite memories with my kids are our family trips to McDonald's, and of course, each of us has our go-to order. Mine is the cheeseburger, and I get it with extra pickles," the Grammy winner shared. "Bringing together some of our favorite food from McDonald's with my all-time favorite season is a holiday wish come true."
The items available on the Mariah Menu — which includes everything from burgers and chicken nuggets to chocolate chip cookies and apple pie — will be served in festive packaging, inspired by the mom-of-two's love for the season.
"Mariah goes with the holidays like ketchup and fries, so we couldn't think of a better partner to help us celebrate the upcoming season," said Jennifer Healan, Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Brand Content and Engagement of McDonald's USA. "Just like McDonald's brings people around the table with their favorite orders, Mariah's music connects us all during this time of the year. We're so excited to team up to bring even more holiday cheer to our fans."
The fast food chain teased customers by telling them to stay tuned for more surprises. To access the special menu, download the McDonald's app and visit the deals section to add the free item of the day to your order.
Carey's fans went crazy over the campaign, with Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen declaring, "THIS is a partnership for me!"
"OMG!!! imma be in that drive thru every DAY," another fan predicted, while one social media user called the superstar "the queen of Christmas and McDonalds."
Though the "Fantasy" crooner has dozens of hit songs, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has remained her most popular, and the tune always sees an increase in streams around the holidays.
In fact, in 2019, the track set new Guinness World Records for the highest-charting holiday (Christmas/New Year) song on the Hot 100 by a solo artist, the most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours, and the most weeks in the U.K. singles Top 10 chart for a Christmas song.
