Mario Cantone Teases Rosie O'Donnell's Upcoming Guest Role on Season 3 of 'And Just Like That'
Mario Cantone is spilling the tea on Season 3 of And Just Like That.
While walking the red carpet at Heidi Klum's Halloween party in New York City, the funnyman, 64, revealed details about Rosie O'Donnell's guest appearance on the upcoming installment of the Max series.
"She's in an episode. She plays a woman that Miranda meets," Cantone, who portrays Anthony Marentino, admitted in an interview.
When asked if the former talk show host, 62, would be playing Cynthia Nixon's character's love interest, he sarcastically added, "I can't say because I'll be fitted for cement shoes and thrown into the Hudson River!"
While the stand-up star cannot give too much away about what fans can expect, he did gush over how thrilled he is with the series' success. "We just wrapped Season 3," he confirmed. "Can you think of any other reboot or sequel that has three seasons? I think it's pretty strong and pretty great. I don't know if it's going to go on, but I'd take another season."
Earlier this year, O'Donnell was spotted filming with Nixon, 58, in the middle of Times Square while wearing a Wicked T-shirt and carrying a Playbill from the hit Broadway musical.
On Thursday, October 31, Sarah Jessica Parker took to her Instagram account to reveal the production had finished filming for the new season. "And so, as one season ends, another begins. 🍂#AndJustLikeThat Season 3 has officially wrapped production back where it all started. See you in 2025, lovers," she penned alongside a photo of herself outside of Carrie Bradshaw's apartment.
"So excited !!! And Carrie is back home ??? Cannot wait ❤️," one eager fan penned below the update.
"I cannot wait that long 😢," another lamented.
In Season 2 of the series, Kim Cattrall delighted fans when she briefly returned to film a short scene as her iconic character Samantha Jones despite her rift with the Hocus Pocus actress, 59.
"We did not ask her to be part of this because she made it clear that that wasn't something she wanted to pursue, and it no longer felt comfortable for us, and so it didn't occur to us," Parker said of why her S-- and the City costar, 68, was not involved with the new show during an appearance on "The Hollywood Reporter's Award Chatter" podcast in 2022.
"That's not 'slamming' her, it's just learning," she added. "You've got to listen to somebody, and if they're publicly talking about something and it doesn't suggest it's some place they want to be, or a person they want to play, or an environment in which they want to be, you get to an age where you're like, 'Well, we hear that.'"
Entertainment Tonight conducted the interview with Cantone.
