Mielle Organics' Mango & Tulsi Shampoo
The gentle shampoo includes hydrating ingredients to remove excessive build-up without stripping the hair of its natural oils.
Pros:
- The hydrating shampoo made it easy to detangle prior to using conditioner.
- The shampoo is sulfate-free, making it safe for all curl types.
- The scalp felt clean without feeling brittle or dry.
- Has great slip.
Cons:
- This isn't a clarifying shampoo, but a hydrating one. If you' have to remove severe buildup caused by hair gels, jams, butters and more then this isn't the ideal product.
- The product is heavily fragranced.
- The product contains a California Prop65 Warning on Ulta.com.
Overall, the shampoo is moisturizing, but due to its ingredients, the shampoo should be used in rotation with a clarifying product.

Mielle Organics' Mango & Tulsi Conditioner
The Mielle Organics Mago & Tulsi Conditioner has similar claims as the shampoo, stating that the product will both strengthen and intensely hydrate strands.
Pros:
- The conditioner has great slip.
- Hair is easy to detangle after use.
Cons
- The product is heavily fragranced.
- Water isn't the main ingredient which is rare for conditioners.
- The product contains a variety of emollients and very few humectants, essentially lubricating the hair, but not absorbing moisture.
- For low-porosity hair, a steamer was needed for the product to be absorbed into strands.
- The product contains a California Prop65 Warning on Ulta.com.
Overall, the conditioner and its formulation is better suited for thick high-porosity curls. However, can still be used for low-porosity hair, if a heat tool such as a steamer or overhead dryer are used.
