Nick Cannon Admits His Kids Are Already Benefiting From His 'Nepotism' by Following in His Footsteps: 'They All Got the Bug'
Nick Cannon loves the idea of his kids getting ahead in the industry because of him!
The Masked Singer host, 43, recently admitted that he doesn't mind any of his 12 children starting a career in Hollywood and using his name to get jobs.
When asked how he would feel if any of his offspring wanted to follow in his footsteps, he enthusiastically said, "They are! They already are! Moroccan and Monroe have been onstage with their mom [Mariah Carey] for years!"
"A lot of my other kids, if I'm doing a movie, they'll have cameos in it," Cannon pointed out. "Golden has been in my last three movies. They all got the bug. Nepotism! Here it comes!"
The Drumline actor has a long line of kiddos that will be able to carry on his legacy. Cannon shares Moroccan and Monroe with the "Obsessed" singer; sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole. The funny man also has two children with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who sadly passed away at five months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and daughter Halo Marie Cannon, who was born on December 14, 2022.
Despite the public's criticism of the television personality having such a large family, Cannon insisted this was exactly the way his life was supposed to be. "Only God can let me know when I'm done," he explained during a 2023 appearance on "The Language of Love" podcast about maybe having more kid.
"As much as I was open to every single child that I have, I can't say the majority of them were planned," Cannon explained. "If you would have told me in 2012 when I was still married and just diagnosed with Lupus that ten years from now... that I would have 12 children, I would be like f--- out of here! There's no way in the world that I would ever plan that."
"I lend that type of stuff to God. Those are miracles," the proud dad continued about his brood. "I've never heard that clarity, but I've heard, 'Yo, you're going to be a father of many. You're a great influence, your lineage, your offspring are going to do great things.' The more the merrier!"
