Nicole Kidman Admits She Makes the 'Most Random, Crazy Choices' When It Comes to Fashion
Nicole Kidman is all about pushing the boundaries — no matter how old she is.
“I make the most random, crazy choices. I call it 'teenage choices' because I don't ever think of the consequences,” she shared on the "Something To Talk About" podcast.
“I have to be made to think of consequences half the time. Part of my brain just doesn't think like that,” she added.
The actress, 56, also explained what she typically gravitates toward. “I just try to keep in that place, because otherwise I think you get scared or worried about what people think," she noted.
“In terms of people's reactions, I say don't tell me. I don't really want to know. It'll stop me from doing what I want to do,” she added.
Kidman recently made an appearance at the Expats premiere in New York City on Sunday, January 21, where she gave an update on Season 3 of Big Little Lies. "We are always cooking things up!" she told Entertainment Tonight. "We’ve got a timeline for it now."
"We are obviously all devastated at the loss of Jean-Marc Vallée," she added, referring to the filmmaker and director who died on December 25, 2021. "That made us go, 'Can we move forward?' But Reese [Witherspoon] and I, and all of the other women, have decided, yes we can."
For now, Kidman is focused on the new Prime Video series, which is about a group of expatriates living in Hong Kong.
"I read the book, my sister gave it to me to read, and I knew it would make an amazing film," Kidman said. "But it was so dense I thought a mini series [would work better]. And it was the right cast."
"I've obviously done so many roles in my life, but this is so different. It takes place over six hours. So many layers. And then episode five, you [see] through the lens of the domestic workers. We get to introduce these actors to this large audience. There are six languages in this show!" Kidman added. "I’m so proud of [it]."
