"I think highly of all the women nominated in this category. Everybody knows I am a girl's girl, and I just want to say, thank you mama," she said in her acceptance speech, which honored her late parent. "Thank you mama for even putting it in me to want to be a female rapper and putting the work ethic inside of me and the drive and the push."

Red hot! The Empire star hosted the night, and made sure it was one no one would forget.
"Tonight you gonna get 100 percent of our full blackness. I'm going to tell you why. Because this is where we matter, where our Black entertainment matters," she told viewers. "It's 2021 and we are celebrating the year of the Black woman. Period."

Oh, baby! The rapper surprised everyone when she stepped on stage in a dazzling Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit and matching tights that featured a sheer panel in the midsection, perfectly framing her baby bump.
The star then confirmed she was pregnant with her and husband Offset's second child on Instagram.
Queen Latifah
"Peace — happy Pride!" the superstar shouted after she received the Lifetime Achievement recognition. During her speech, she also gave a sweet nod to her "love," Eboni Nichols.
