June is more than just the beginning of summer, as it the month that celebrates Pride. Hair care brand R+Co is working towards making an impact this month by honoring, celebrating and giving back to the LGBT+ community.

The R+Co initiative is in collaboration with PFLAG. The organization is one of the largest in the nation. According to their site, "Chapter Network — with over 400 chapters across the country — provides confidential peer support, education, and advocacy to LGBTQ+ people, their parents and families, and allies. PFLAG chapters are in communities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. With 200,000+ members and supporters crossing multiple generations of families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas, PFLAG has been saving lives, strengthening families, and changing hearts, minds and laws since 1972."

R+Co will be supporting the nonprofit through their limited edition Dreamhouse bottle. The watermelon wave spray protects the hair from harmful UV rays and adds texture to strands. The product claims to moisturize, protect, enhance and brighten strands. If you're looking to give back during Pride and achieve beach waves, this is the perfect product. The June packaging will not only feature the rainbow colors of the Pride flag, but $10,000 from sales will be donated to fund educational initiatives.

R+Co isn't the only beauty brand giving back this month. Natural deodorant Evolvetogether plans to donate five percent of sales to Athlete Ally, a non-profit organization that works toward ending both homophobia and transphobia in sports.
