Reese Witherspoon revealed her secret to staying connected with her oldest children.

"Frequent communication, but no guilt. I check in with them every day via text, but I do it at different times of the day, so that there’s not a routine to it," she explained in a recent interview. "And I probably talk to them on the phone once a week. I’m genuinely curious about their lives. They know I support and encourage them, and, in turn, they’re my greatest champions. Sometimes the responses are a day later, but that’s fine. I just need to know that they’re okay."

Witherspoon — who also shares son Tennessee James, 12, with her ex Jim Toth — noted how much she loves seeing her kids thrive and turn into unique human beings. "My daughter is incredibly thoughtful. She’s a beautiful writer and will write me long letters. She’s also an amazing gift giver; homemade presents are her love language," the Election actress said.

"My middle son is very present when he’s with you. He’s not on his phone. He’s not addicted to social media. He’s present and spiritual. Then my youngest son is playful and funny. His sense of humor is valuable in his life. It gets him far because he just finds the humor in life," she added.

While Witherspoon is grateful for her close relationships with her kids, she's also thankful for her group of friends who are always there to support her. "I don’t know what I would do without them. As a working mom, I’m not always around for volunteer activities at school. So, they will sign me up when they know I’m in town and make sure that I get an opportunity to be part of the community," The Morning Show star noted.

Reese Witherspoon gushed over her supportive community of moms.

"It’s hard being a working mom, traveling, and living out what I want to accomplish in this world, and also be a great mom. I feel lucky that I’m surrounded by people who love my children and help care for them," she added. "Mothering is this beautiful thing when you’re in the right community, and you feel very connected in your values. There are no other people’s children, they’re all our kids."

As Morning Honey previously reported, her girlfriends feel the same way about her. "I felt so lucky to have that lens and then to find sisterhood on this stage — and basically, I run everything by Reese," Laura Dern explained about Witherspoon during a panel at Hello Sunshine's second Shine Away event in October 2024. “From my romantic life all the way to what jobs I should do.”
