Exclusive: Rachel Uchitel's Guide to the Ultimate Day in Palm Beach — From the Hottest Restaurants to the Best Shopping
Nobody knows how to have a chic time in Palm Beach quite like Rachel Uchitel.
The multihyphenate ditched New York City to live full-time in the lavish Florida area after the COVID-19 pandemic and has never looked back.
In an exclusive chat with Morning Honey, Uchitel dishes on why Palm Beach has become the hottest city in the state, where you should be going if you're single or if you're in a relationship, as well as the best places to shop and people watch.
"To me, it's more fun than Miami," the "Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel" podcast host says. "It's more stunning than Del Ray, Boca, all these other places. It also has a little bit of an island feel because it is so small and intimate. The city is expanding because now you have West Palm, which has also become really fun, and Palm Beach Gardens, where many people have moved. It's sunny. It's beautiful — even when the weather is not great, it's still gorgeous."
When Uchitel thinks of her perfect day, the first thing she wants to do is put her feet in the sand and be by the ocean. "The beaches in Palm Beach proper are gorgeous for a walk. You can bring your dogs and take a really nice stroll. There's also a special spot to get coffee at The Breakers," she spills. "The who's who of Palm Beach flock there."
If you are on the market and ready to date, Uchitel knows certain spots to meet people. "You're going to LoLa 41 Palm Beach for frosé or you're going to The Colony Hotel for drinks."
"They have live bands now, which is fun for locals," she explains of the hotspots. "They have a trivia night, which is so fabulous. The typical group is a lot of New Yorkers that have moved down here."
"People are going to HMF [restaurant] for drinks, which is at The Breakers," she adds. "Then there's a new place called Le Bar, which is where everyone ends up at the end of the evening. It's young and hot."
If you are looking to spend some hard-earned cash, the star makes it clear, "You cannot go to Palm Beach without going to Worth Avenue."
"Just to be seen when you walk down, everyone is dressed to the nines," Uchitel notes. "Do not go there in sweatpants or your bathing suit. You need to look like you are shopping and being photographed doing it — but it's also really great to just walk around."
