Rhonda Marinoff, an acclaimed personal fashion stylist, has always been interested in dressing people up, which is why it was a no-brainer she decided to follow her dreams and enter the industry.

"People were always coming to me asking for fashion advice. I got my foot in the door through a friend who owned an eyeglass company — and I ended up doing some trade shows with them," she exclusively tells Morning Honey. "I had young children at the time and wanted to do something on my own — where I could make my own schedule!"

Marinoff's career took off after working with some of the most respected names in fashion, including Nili Lotan, Michael Kors, Isabel Marant, Bash, Oscar de la Renta and Bergdorf Goodman.

Now, since she's a personalized stylist, she loves being "involved" with her clients and getting to know their inner circles.

"I was always involved with families, and spent a lot of time shopping, doing fittings etc. with clients. Clients became longtime clients, who then became generational clients, etc. It's always so exciting to transform someone and make them feel confident!" she says of changing people's lives.

Though there's many positives that come with being a personal stylist, she notes that "people and organizational skills helped me in my profession."

"Clients are not one size fits all. It is important you adjust according to each client's needs. You also need to be relevant and keep up with trends. I am always looking for new and interesting designers," she says.

"Staying relevant… but if you love it truly you will be! I am constantly online, in stores, observing street style, etc. I also adore traveling to Europe to see different markets," she says of the challenges.

As for what the future looks like, Marinoff wants to keep "inspiring others whenever I work with them."

"I want to set a good example — and I always try and dress one step ahead, whether it be adding the perfect shoe, bag, makeup, hairstyle, etc.," she states. "Everyone is an individual. I look at lifestyle, body type, personality and budget before I even start working with them. I am always looking for new designers, trends and ways to present to my clients. Overall, I love what I do! Keeping contacts with clients, and giving them much more individual attention continues to be a focus."

"My final piece of advice is — never try to dress like everyone else. Be YOU!" she concludes.
