Exclusive: 'Jury Duty' Star Ronald Gladden Never Thought He'd Be a Celebrity: 'I'm Happy to Be Here'

Ronald Gladden got the last laugh when his life changed overnight after appearing on Jury Duty, which premiered in April 2023, as he didn't realize that everyone around him were actors — except him.

Now, he's friends with costar James Marsden and frequently hanging out with celebrities. "A whirlwind is definitely the best way I can describe it!" Gladden, who partnered with Swash® Laundry Detergent to launch its bold new look and feel, as well as its latest ad campaign, titled “Laundry Court,” exclusively tells Morning Honey. "I'm very honored and happy to even be a part of this."

"It's been an adjustment, to say the least," the TV personality continues of his new normal. "Less than a year ago I was working construction. I was always disgusting when I got home, but now I get to go to events and awards shows where I get to wear nicer clothing. I have to be more presentable!"

Though Gladden is still figuring out how to be in the spotlight, he's cherishing this time period. "I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert. I do prefer quiet time and I love spending time on my own, but it's been an adjustment," he shares.

Gladden recently signed two-year overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios to produce, develop and star in a variety of content, meaning his career in Hollywood is only just beginning. "I'm very much looking forward to exploring opportunities in general. I'm just happy to be here!" he exclaims. "We have a few projects under development. It's too early to speak on anything with concrete details just yet, but we're in the very early stages of development."

"I never saw myself as being the face of anything, being a celebrity, being a TV or movie star. I never had aspirations to be famous as a child, so that's why this entire thing is just an adjustment," he adds.

When Swash® Laundry Detergent asked to partner with Gladden, he was taken aback but eager to take on more projects. "This opportunity has been a great way for me to get back into this and familiarize myself with this type of work. I'm brand new at doing this!" he says. "When this was offered to me, I loved the sound of it because I've never been the face of something before, so it feels good."

Clearly, Gladden is thrilled to be working with Swash® Laundry Detergent to launch its bold new look and feel, as well as its latest ad campaign.

In the new ad, titled "Laundry Court," Gladden returns to the juror's box to a case that completely flips laundry day on its cap — something he can certainly relate to.

"I'm very excited to start this campaign with Swash® Laundry Detergent. The brand is disrupting the way laundry is normally done, so I'm very much looking forward to that. I love the fact there's a lot of simplicity in this," he notes. "It's easy to use. It's literally one squeeze takes care of everything you need — and who doesn't like to make their life easier? This just appealed to me in every sense."
