Selena Gomez Praises Her Fans for Helping Her Achieve Billionaire Status: 'They’re the Ones That Made This Dream of Mine Come True'
Selena Gomez can officially add "billionaire" to her resume!
The success of the Emilia Pérez actress' company Rare Beauty recently landed her on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, however, Gomez made it clear she would never have been able to achieve the milestone without her fans and loyal customers.
"I’m very grateful," the Only Murders in the Building star, 32, said. "I personally think it’s distasteful to talk about money. But I really am giving all the credit to the people who buy the products. They’re the ones that made this dream of mine come true. So I’m really, really honored and just happy."
According to Bloomberg, Gomez has a current value of $1.3 billion between her beauty line, music and acting ventures. The company has a reported worth of $2 billion.
After going through heartbreak, health battles and scrutiny in the public eye in her late teens and twenties, the "Love You Like a Love Song" crooner appears to be in the best place she's ever been.
As Morning Honey previously reported, Gomez revealed she feels more comfortable in her skin as she's gotten older. "Now that I'm 30, I care less, so it's actually nice,” she explained in a 2023 interview. “I get to focus on the things that actually matter and I'm not worried about things that were holding me back.”
In a candid Instagram update earlier that year, the former Disney Channel star emphasized how every hurdle she overcame put her in the positive space she's in now. “My twenties were a journey through good, hard, and beautiful moments that I will never forget. Each of them has shaped me into the person that I am today," she penned. "I am someone who is still learning but is more certain about what matters and what she wants. Someone who is grateful for every single gift and every single lesson along the way."
“I am walking forward encouraged by so many strong, empowering people around me," Gomez, who is currently dating Benny Blanco, noted. "I want to try my best to take the beautiful and the painful one day at a time and let it all make me into the very best me that I can be for myself/others/you. After a few days of celebrating, my heart feels full, grateful and I can say that I’m starting to really like 30. Thank you SO much for being a part of my life, here’s to another decade! Love you all inside and out so much it hurts!”
