Sofia Carson recently visited Good Morning America to promote her new Netflix film Purple Hearts.
While discussing her recent project, the Descendants actress wore an all-white outfit: a Maticevski Lyubov dress and white heels. The ensemble follows her white Fendi suit worn for GMA3 and a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown, which she sported at the UNICEF Capri Gala.
Carson has mastered the art of looking chic, elegant and sophisticated while continuing to appear youthful. The Disney alum stopped by the morning news show to discuss her recently released project, in which she stars opposite Nicholas Galitzine. The new flick is based on the 2017 book by Tess Wakefield.
Fans will get to see Carson take on the role of Cassie, a singer-songwriter who is attempting to develop her career while dealing with having Type I diabetes. Ultimately, in need for insulin (which is expensive in both fiction and reality), she rushes into a marriage of convenience to a Marine, Luke (Galitzine). She marries him with the hopes of using his military health benefits. However, what begins as an arrangement evolves into an emotional love story.
Now Carson's fans get to watch her show off her skills as a singer, too. Her breakout role in Disney's Descendants was a musical, and in Purple Hearts, Carson portrays a musician. "I think I've been really lucky that a lot of the projects that I have been a part of have allowed me to do everything that I love as an artist," Carson admitted to PEOPLE of her character. "And this one, in particular, went kind of a step further, because I've always been in love with storytelling, and to be a part of storytelling from every aspect, from behind the scenes as a producer to physical storytelling as an actress to storytelling through song, was incredibly fulfilling."
