Country sensation Jelly Roll, 39, has followed up his breakout album Whitsitt Chapel with the recently released Beautifully Broken.
The record includes the upbeat jam "Get By," which was selected by ESPN as the 2024 College Football Season anthem. Keeping with his bounce-back brand, the reformed ex-con said the tune is about navigating life’s obstacles — and getting back up after falling down.

1. His nickname Jelly Roll came from his mother, who gave it to him when he was young and pudgy.
2. The failed jock played football, basketball and soccer in middle school and admitted, “I was absolutely mediocre at all three of them."
3. The Tennessee native can’t vote or own a firearm in his home state because of a non-expungable felony he got as a teen after being convicted of aggravated robbery.
4. The former drug dealer earned a GED in prison and later got an associate’s degree in sociology from Volunteer State Community College.
