Go Bold! Urban Decay & The Prince Estate Unveil Makeup Collection Inspired By The Late Singer's Flair For The Dramatic
Prince's legacy continues to live on, and now, his legions of fans can pay tribute his trailblazing ways with a new makeup collection!
Urban Decay and the Prince Estate worked together to launch a limited-edition capsule of cosmetics, all inspired by the superstar's personal flair and style.
"The collection and the overall campaign was designed in close collaboration with key members of Prince’s artistic camp, including creative director Trevor Guy; his beloved muse and close friend, @DamarisLewis, who began touring with him in 2012; and renowned photographer/director Randee St. Nicholas, who captured art for the campaign and was a close collaborator with Prince for three decades," Urban Decay revealed.
Packaged in his signature colors of black and gold, the two eyeshadow palettes features 10 shades each, all with fun names like "When Doves Cry," "Baby I'm A Star" and "Groovy Potential."
The vegan U Got The Look palette consists of blendable colors like a warm mocha matte and a glittery black, while the Let's Go Crazy palette is for those who want a bolder look, offering colors such as a purple shimmer and metallic baby blue.
Both of the eyeshadow collections are packaged in a faux leather case that feature Prince's iconic logo on the front, and inside, there's a small mirror.
Rounding out the eye products are two vegan Kajal pencils, available in a creamy black and pearly white — both of which were formulated to easily glide over skin.
In addition, there's a liquid highlighter, which comes in a universal shade, meaning it suits every skin tone. "Get that lit-from-within glow by using it all over or to brighten and highlight specific areas like your cheekbones, décolletage, arms, or legs," the description reads.
For the face, try the vegan All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder. The product, which lasts 11 hours, goes on translucent but gives you a matte finish that blurs pores and blocks oil, ensuring your foundation stays in tact.
To apply, you can pick up the Multitasker Makeup Brush, a versatile tool that can be used for blush, foundation, highlighter and bronzer.
Super fans will be excited to know that you can buy the entire collection all at once for $250 — though the vault is currently sold out.
You can purchase individual products here, starting June 6.
