Vanessa Hudgens Reveals How She's Prioritizing Self-Care as a New Mom This Holiday Season
Vanessa Hudgens is gearing up for her first holiday season as a mom!
After the High School Musical actress, 35, welcomed her first child with her husband, Cole Tucker, over the summer, the new parent has been making sure she still makes herself a priority during the busiest season of the year.
When asked in a recent interview if there are any products that helped her take care of herself after having her little one, she spilled, "I feel like a portable massager is always the move when you're on the go moving around. You can just get into those points that are giving you trouble. It's very necessary."
Hudgens also emphasized that nowadays, being snug and content is her top priority. "I'm such a comfy girl. It's so funny because I used to be so about dressing up and themes every moment I could get. The older that I get, the more practical I get. Life is chaotic and hectic. I don't need to make it any more stressful than it needs to be. So, I keep things cozy," the Rent actress explained. "It really is about what works for you that day and having grace for yourself because it will change."
The actress has come a long way since she burst on the scene after appearing in the 2006 iconic Disney Channel original movie. However, when asked what her character, Gabriella Montez, would be rocking for Christmas, Hudgens knew exactly what it would be. "She would’ve kept it traditional with a sequined dress and a pair of knee-high boots that are super cute, chic, and easy," Hudgens said in a separate interview about her HSM character.
When it comes to her own festive style, the Broadway star noted, "I really love glitzy things. There’s this one sequined minidress from Kohl’s that I feel is great for a holiday party. I also love a knitted pant with matching cardigan. It is so cute and extremely cozy. The goal is to look put together but feel really comfortable."
The former child star has become the queen of Netflix Christmas movies after starring as Stacy in The Princess Switch trilogy. Since she played the role three times, Hudgens was extremely tapped into her character's Christmas aesthetic.
"For Stacy, I would put her in a coat that’s as practical as her baking skills and as stylish as her holiday spirit. Then, I would bring Stacy’s down-to-earth charm to life with chunky Mary Janes — perfect for mixing business with a little bit of princess chic — and channel her inner royalty with a midi dress," she dished.
