Want to Look Like Taylor Swift? 6 Workout Tips That Will Make You Feel Like a Pop Star
Do you want to look like you're the most famous woman in the world?
As Taylor Swift continues to dominate the globe with her smash-hit Eras tour, the public remains in awe of her ability to sustain a rigorous three-hour concert.
According to fitness experts at the equipment supplier Mirafit, these six steps will get you looking like the iconic pop star in no time!
1. Cardio
The first step to getting into the Swift fitness routine is heavy cardio. During her 2023 interview with Time, the Grammy winner admitted she sprints on the treadmill daily as she sings the entire setlist out loud.
Besides burning calories, strengthening muscles and improving cardiovascular fitness, running has also been said to improve mental health, reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress.
2. Dance Workouts
In the past, Swift admitted she prepped for the intense choreography during the shows with dance lessons before rehearsals even began. By turning on your favorite tracks by the chart-topper and moving your body, you can better your stamina, strength and coordination all from the comfort of your own home.
3. Weight Training
Another major element of Swift getting her body ready to endure the hundreds of shows across the globe was weight training. Even doing reps with lighter weights can strengthen your muscles and reduce the risk of injury.
If you want to go big, you can try deadlifts, which are a great way to improve the strength of your core, glutes and hamstrings. However, if you want to take things a bit slower, try using smaller dumbbells as you do squats.
4. Core Exercises
While it's been evident that Swift put an emphasis on conditioning her body for her tour, it's not exactly clear what she's done in terms of keeping her core tight.
However, the Cats actress previously shared a video of herself seemingly using Pilates-style exercises to aim at her core and glutes. In the clip, she also appeared to be wearing ankle weights on both legs as she performed glute kickbacks.
5. Breathing Exercises
Swift's personal trainer, Kirk Myers, revealed in an interview with British Vogue that a big part of the "Karma" singer's fitness routine has been focusing on breath work. Yoga and meditation are both practices where breathing is a major component, improving the diaphragm, pelvic floor and other abdominal muscles.
6. Pickleball
If you want a fun way to break a sweat, pickleball is a great option. While it's unclear if Swift has time to get out on the court, she was recently seen holding a paddle containing the logo of Travis Kelce’s NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
